Coronavirus live updates: According to the MoHFW, India reported 362,727 new Covid-19 infections on Thursday, bringing the total caseload to 23,703,665. The number of people killed by the virus increased by 4,120, bringing the total to 258,317. Meanwhile, Delhi, Maharashtra, and Karnataka have agreed to halt vaccinations for people aged 18 to 44, which had begun symbolically on May 1, before further orders are received due to an acute shortage of vaccines. Most states have yet to begin the vaccine campaign for people aged 18 and up. Harsh Vardhan, India's health minister, urged states on Wednesday to recognize the limited supply of vaccines and avoid creating unreasonable and unsustainable standards while ensuring judicious use of doses.
